New Scratch Mat!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

This week the humans finally took the hint and replaced our old and destroyed scratch mat.

Yeah, that was about time!

Yup, that’s for sure!

Here is a video of me testing out the new one (the old one is on the right, about to be thrown away):

These ignorant humans think that we cats only scratch to sharpen our claws. But little do they know…

FUN FACT:

When cats leave scratch marks outside these visual markers show approaching cats that they’re entering an area where another cat lives. Scratching also creates a chemical signal. There are scent glands in the paw pads that release pheromones as the cat scratches. Any cat who comes close will get valuable information about the cat who did the scratching.

Here is how I groom myself:

And this is how I groom myself:

Wow. I don’t even think it’s worth asking our readers who has the better style!

Yeah, I agree.

Because it’s obviously going to be me.

WHAT!

Well, of course. I bring such class, grace and elegance into the whole operation. Such poetry in motion…

Ok, if you say so, Sasha… You definitely have a thing for your armpits though.

Yeah, as if you don’t love that one extra long toenail on your back paw. It totally creeps me out.

That’s my special ear scratching claw!

Ok, if you say so, Lola…

Three dogs (from First Class cabins!) survived the sinking of the Titanic – two Pomeranians and one Pekingese
