Ur’in Trouble

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

This week we have been, or Sasha has been, up to some funny buissness in the fresh snow…

I don’t really know how to adress this following photo, so, I’ll just show you…

Balcony''''''-

As we unfortunately all can so clearly see, Sasha is doing what she does best in the snow. Wink wink.

Um, what? I was not doing anything naughty out there! I was just enjoying the fine early winter morning.

Oh yeah? And I’m the queen of Bulgaria. Take a look at this video I took of you moments after the picture was taken:

Halloween Snow

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

We have been so worried that we wouldn’t have snow for Halloween. But, our “prayers” were answered, and today we got lots of snow! When we got up thin morning there was just a light sprinkling of snow, but now we ave loads of it! Yay!

Here are some pictures and a video of us enjoying the chrispy frozen rain:

What was up with that last one Lola?

Haha, don’t ask, don’t tell!

Ok, you goofy little fluff ball!

We’ll talk about that nickname later…

But hey, Lola, what are you gonna be for Halloween?

Huh, that I have not thought a lot about.

Maybe we should do one of those cute but scary Pinterest DIY couples costumes!

Oh, Sasha, you are so funny, but you don’t need a costume to look scary!

Ok, that one was called for. Well played my friend…

When vampire bats feed, they use their teeth to shear away hair or feathers from a small spot and then cut into their victim’s flesh with their sharp incisors.

Out of the Closet

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

This week Lola has been up to her old habit: going into the closet in Zoe’s bedroom.

The problem is that she goes in the closet when the humans have left it open, and the humans usually don’t know that she is in there, so they just close the doors.

She actually really likes tucking herself into small, snug and dark spaces. I personally don’t get it, but, hey, you do you, Lola.

What happens then is that I start to get a little anxious, and I run around and try to catch the attention of the humans, yelling in their faces that Lola is stuck in the closet and that they need to help her. But they rarely seem to understand what I am so frantically telling them…

Luckily Lola most often is smart enough to get out by herself:

And when she comes out, I am always happy to see her!

The Plot Thickens

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

Zoe has been in London with her mom this weekend to see the Sherlock Holmes Museum and they just got home. As usual we started rummaging through Zoe’s stuff to see is she got us any treats when we came across something shocking!

WE FOUND THIS BOOK:

Plotting_Sasha

What was she thinking getting this?!

Do you think she thinks we’re up to something?!

I can’t believe my own eyes!

Well, upon reading this, I have to say that we definitely look quite suspicious…

What do you mean, Sash?

Well, in this list of things that cats plotting to kill their humans do, there are surprisingly many things that we do. For example:

Kneading on you

Excessive shoveling of kitty litter

Staring contests

Bringing you dead animals

Throwing up grass

Hiding in dark places and watching you

Sleeping on your electronics

Pawing at your face while you sleep

Sprinting at light speed out of any room you enter

Sleeping in the highest trafficked part of the house

Constantly giving you the stink eye

Excessive yawning

Wow. I had no idea that those activities are suspicious to humans!

Yeah, we would never do anything to harm Zoe! Right, Lola?

Learn Your Lesson

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

This week I realized that Sasha didn’t learn her lesson. “What do you mean, Lola” you might be wondering. Well, I shall explain:

Last year (or some other time. I don’t really remember the exact date, ok. Don’t judge me) Sasha had an encounter with a wasp. She was playing around with it when she decided to bite into it. To Sasha’s surprise the wasp stung her. And she ended up with a big fat lip. (Too bad I didn’t get a picture…)

So, now that you are filled in, you would think that she had learned her lesson and stayed far away from wasps ever since. BUT NOOO. That daredevil had to play Russian roulette with danger once again!

Here is the video of Sash harassing the wasp.

This time she got lucky. But maybe not next time…

end of summerFUN FACT:

It is estimated that there are over a hundred thousand described species of wasps around the world, and a great many more as yet undescribed.

(Hey, Sasha, wouldn’t it be neat to discover an undescribed species of wasp? If I did that, I would name it after you: Vespula sashula. How does that sound?)

Tragic Fire – Broken Hearted

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

This week we have been sad because there was a fire in which 13 cats died.

Photo 01-10-2017, 17 55 12

No, the fire was not in a crazy cat lady’s house. It was the only cat shelter in northern Norway owned by the animal welfare society.

Zoe actually used to bike past that shelter every day to and from school.

The police are investigating and they are saying that this fire is looking extremely suspicious. In addition to the shelter 3 other houses in different locations (one of them 60 meters from the shelter) also caught fire within 24 hours.

The shelter has gotten 37628 $ donation but it was not insured so we don’t know how long until or if it will be built again.

Not only did they lose a lot of cats but they also lost a lot a very important resource and a lot of equipment.

And in fact, WE were adopted from the same animal welfare society.

Here is a link to a newspaper article where you can see pictures and a small story of all the cats that died:

Doors To Opportunities

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

We have learned how to open doors! And now we have free acces to… ZOE’S BEDROOM!

Usually Zoe keeps her bedroom door closed because of unknown reasons.

Well, that’s not exactly true, Sash.

What do you mean?

Well, you know the reason that Zoe keeps her door closed at night is because you always wake her up by sitting on her face, kneading her scalp and licking her ear drums.

Oh, I thought she liked that…

So, now that we have this amazing ability, we have so many new opportunities! So far, the only thing we have come up with is sneaking into Zoe’s room after she has fallen asleep…

Here is a picture of us when our mission is acomplished:
